AVVOL Wooden Centerpiece

The name of the collection, Avvol comes from the Italian verb avvolgere, to wrap around, which clearly expresses the nature of this exquisite design by Setsu & Shinobu Ito for Hands on Design. Crafted of solid beechwood, the soft and harmonious curves of this centerpiece are hand-turned on a lathe by Lorenzo Franceschinis, enhanced by the contrasting finish: textured black on the outside and smooth natural inside. Perfect also as a catch-all tray in a foyer or jewelry holder on a vanity.

Setsu & Shinobu Ito design studio, based in Milan, Italy, specializes in applying creative and interactive values to their projects, working across a variety of disciplines with international designers and architects. This considerable experience has allowed them to gradually refine the best perspectives for the design process.
